This Cream Chicken Recipe features tender chicken, savory sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh spinach smothered in a rich, seasoned cream sauce. Our easy take on the Italian classic, Marry Me Chicken dish, it’s a one-skillet dish that’s ready in 30 minutes!
All-purpose flour Paprika, Dried Thyme, Oregano Sea salt, Ground pepper Boneless skinless chicken breasts Olive oil Minced garlic cloves Chili flakes Heavy cream Chicken stock Parmesan cheese freshly grated Roasted red peppers chopped Fresh spinach
– Combine 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1 tsp paprika, 2 tsp thyme, 2 tsp oregano, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp black pepper in a low bowl or on a clean workspace. – Dredge 4 boneless skinless chicken pieces through the mixture, coating them completely. Shake off any excess flour.
– Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. – Add chicken, and cook for 3-5 minutes on both sides. Transfer to a plate, and set it aside. – Add 2 more tbsp of olive oil to the skillet along with 3 cloves of garlic, the remaining seasoning mixture, and 1 tsp of chili flakes. Allow seasonings to toast for a minute or two, stirring frequently. Careful not to burn!
– Once fragrant, add 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup chicken stock, 1 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/3 cup chopped roasted red peppers, 2 cups of spinach, and another pinch of salt and pepper. Stir to combine. – Allow sauce to simmer until thickened. Add chicken back to skillet, spoon the sauce on top. Cook until chicken reaches an internal temp of 165F (73C). – Adjust seasonings to taste, and serve warm.
