apples light brown sugar all-purpose flour fresh lemon juice ground cinnamon ground nutmeg puff pastry (we like Just Rol) egg coarse sugar

Add the sliced apples to a large bowl with the brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg and toss to evenly coat.

Prepare the Filling

Roll the dough into a rough rectangle. If using a skillet, transfer the dough directly into it.

Place the seasoned apple mixture onto the center of the dough. Gently fold the outer edges over the filling. Use a pastry brush to spread the egg wash on the crust.

Combine

Place the assembled galette in the fridge briefly. Place the galette in the preheated oven and bake it until the crust is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbling.
