What are Air Fryer Greek Potatoes?

Our air fryer Greek potatoes are a modern twist on a classic Mediterranean favorite. Traditionally, Greek potatoes are roasted in the oven with a delicious blend of olive oil, lemon juice, and aromatic herbs. By using an air fryer, we achieve that same mouth-watering flavor and perfect texture in a fraction of the time. The air fryer circulates hot air around the potatoes so that they cook evenly and develop a crispy, golden-brown crust while remaining super soft on the inside.

These delicious potatoes are the perfect side dish for pairing with nearly any main course. Whether you’re serving them alongside grilled proteins, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad, they bring a burst of bright and zesty flavor to any plate!

Ingredients You Need

  • Baby Golden Potatoes – Quarter these just before cooking for the best texture and flavor.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil – This is a great way to add rich flavor. Plus, it helps the potatoes crisp up beautifully!
  • Greek Seasoning – We love using this ingredient because it has a blend of herbs and spices that are quintessential to Greek cuisine. You can buy it at the store or easily mix up your own homemade Greek seasoning blend
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – Citrus adds a bright, tangy flavor that complements the seasoning beautifully.
  • Black Pepper – Pepper gives the potatoes a subtle kick of heat and balances all of the other flavors.

How to Make Air Fryer Greek Potatoes

  1. Prep the potatoes. Wash the potatoes thoroughly before using a sharp knife to uniformly quarter them to make sure they cook evenly in the air fryer.
  2. Mix the ingredients. Add the potatoes, olive oil, Greek seasoning, lemon juice, and black pepper to a mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Transfer to the air fryer. Place the seasoned potatoes into the air fryer basket, spreading them out for even air circulation.
  4. Cook the potatoes. Air fry the potatoes for the recommended time. Halfway through cooking, briefly remove the air fryer basket and shake it — that will ensure that all of the potatoes cook evenly.

Variations

  • Garlic – Finely minced garlic or garlic powder adds a savory flavor that complements the potatoes perfectly!
  • Herbs – Try adding fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Heat – Sprinkle on some crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper powder for a spicy kick.
  • Cheese – Toss the cooked potatoes with grated parmesan for a savory, cheesy finish.
  • Lemon Zest – Add a sprinkle of lemon zest after cooking for an extra burst of bright, citrusy flavor!

Can I Store Leftovers?

Yes, you can definitely store these potatoes in the fridge or freezer! To make sure the leftovers are crispy, reheat them in the oven or air fryer

Refrigerate the leftover potatoes in an airtight container for up to three days.

For longer storage, flash-freeze the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring them to a freezer bag. You can keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months.
