This Eggs and Dates recipe is a simplified version of the traditional Egyptian eggs with agwa dish. Made with less than five ingredients, it comes together quickly for a sweet and savory breakfast full of nutrients!
To begin, preheat your oven, and grease a round baking dish with melted butter.
Next, slice each date lengthwise, and remove the pits. Arrange them evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish.
Drizzle part of the melted butter evenly over the dates.
Whisk the eggs in a bowl until smooth, and stir in a pinch of salt. Then, pour the egg mixture over the buttered dates, coating them completely.
Transfer the dish to the oven, and bake until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
Allow your eggs and dates to cool slightly, and enjoy!
